OpenAI has introduced a new feature in ChatGPT that enhances its utility for educational purposes, offering interactive responses to help users grasp complex scientific and mathematical principles. As of today, the AI chatbot will generate dynamic visualizations when explaining specific concepts such as the Pythagorean theorem, Coulomb’s law, and lens equations. These visuals are not static; they allow users to manipulate variables and equations directly, providing an immersive way to observe how adjustments impact outcomes.
This latest enhancement expands the range of topics covered by ChatGPT's interactive visuals, now including over 70 subjects. The company plans to add more areas in the future. All ChatGPT users, irrespective of their subscription tier, can access these features. However, OpenAI emphasizes that high school and college students may find them particularly beneficial, given the tool's potential to support deeper conceptual understanding.

This development builds upon the launch of Study Mode earlier this year, which was designed to assist students in working through problems independently rather than receiving direct answers. OpenAI acknowledges that this is just the beginning of its efforts to enhance educational tools within ChatGPT. The company aims to broaden the scope of interactive learning, incorporating more subjects and refining the platform’s ability to support academic growth over time.
