On the social media platform Truth Social, Trump warned of "military repercussions" for Iran should the nation deploy mines near the Strait of Hormuz. This declaration came just one day after Trump declared the conflict with Iran to be concluded.
Commentators and political observers responded to Trump's remarks through various online channels.
"This is sheer lunacy. He’s completely unhinged," actress Lorraine Montez wrote on Bluesky.
